I've started using a new notebook for my writing and I thought it needed something pretty on the front:



The colour may seem a little off as its not designed to be on a computer screen, it's designed to be printed, but I thought I'd share anyway!

My family have all accepted that I'm a huge Doctor Who geek - even when I go to the lengths of collecting the Radio Times everytime there's a Doctor Who cover and try to keep them in as best condition as possible. This means that my grandmother doesn't get to do the puzzles in the back because I ask her not to - the deal is I scan them out for her and hand them over (my mum gets off worse, she doesn't even get her Radio Times these days if DW is on the cover).

So a month after the Radio Times with Rose on the front I finally got around to scanning the puzzles for my grandmother (only because she was planning to hold any future DW related covers to ransome until she got her puzzles!)And guess what I found!



I knew there was a puzzle type...thing...to do with Martha Jones, I didn't know there was an image to go with!

The moral of the story? Scan a Radio Time...don't make war (because the biggest arguments in my family are honestly over the Radio Times)

I have far, far too much time on my hands at the minute.

I've decided to go back to university to do my Masters - providing I'm accepted of course.

I've got a personal statment to write (I'm already a bit worried 'cos I'm not so good at selling myself) and I was almost in a full scale panic when I couldn't locate A Level english results certificate as I need them too - found them of course, they were in the exact envelope I knew they were in...I just had a little trouble locating that, I always knew it was on the floor somewhere

I'm surprised that they're starting trailers for the Sarah Jane Adventures so soon (there was a quick one on after the Doctor Who repeat) but I really don't care because now I'm excited!

God, Autumn is so far away!

I'm being pressured by my mother to consider going on to do a Masters next year - I've got a bloody degree! Isn't that enough? Oh no! 'A Masters gives you that little extra' A little extra headache maybe!

The really irritating thing? My current uni (Sunderland) is probably the best in the North East to offer me a decent course ('cos I just checked) and I said I never wanted to go back there after the hell I went though this year...it's tempting looking at the course - but I'd have to get a loan to pay for it and a normal loan is nothing like a student loan - not to mention I still don't have a job, and...having no real idea what to do with myself is making it all them more tempting.

But this year was hell and we've been told that when you do a Masters you need to find a good group of people you get on with...*snort*

Oh well...graduation on Friday...everybody but me is excited about it.

The internet won't work on my laptop - or at least it wouldn't, now that I've moved the wire over to the PC in the other room it might now. It's funny, the internet will connect, but the pages won't load. When I moved the wire over to the PC I hoped the same thing would happen so I could blame BT and the connection, but alas no! It's the laptop!

It's a bit annoying, I don't like the PC - I mean I do like the PC, but it's not my laptop and I think I know just about every quirk my laptop has (I know them about the PC too, but don't put up with them) My laptop might be being held together with sticky tape (and I'm being serious with that) and it might be as slow as a snail these days, but I love it so.

ETA: Fixed it! Somehow the firewall had set its self to high so it wasn't letting anything through...no idea why it did that. But god I'm good! I fixed it...just thought I'd have a bit of a 'Doctor' moment there, never mind.
